Each placemat is handcrafted by Japanese textile artist Mofusa, who works from his small workshop overlooking Mount Fuji. Here, he carries on traditional Japanese dyeing and weaving techniques, where colors are made from natural plant extracts and indigo.

The motifs are hand-painted and inspired by the surrounding Japanese nature, making each placemat unique and imbued with a calm, organic expression featuring clear artisanal details.
