Each placemat is handmade by the Japanese textile artist Mofusa, who works from his small workshop with a view of Mount Fuji. Here, he carries on traditional Japanese dyeing and weaving techniques, where colors are created from natural plant extracts and indigo.
The motifs are hand-painted and inspired by the surrounding Japanese nature, making each placemat unique and imbued with a calm, organic expression with clear handcrafted details.
