Beautiful cast iron kettle with a minimalist design.
The shape is modern but also bears the mark of traditional Japanese aesthetics. The kettle is made with traditional craftsmanship from Iwate, known for its production of Nambu cast iron.
The surface has a characteristic sand structure, which, over time, develops a natural sheen as the kettle is used.
When water is boiled in the cast iron kettle, the taste also becomes rounder and softer.
We ourselves visited the manufacturer during our trip to the Tohoku region in Japan, where the kettle is made with traditional techniques from Iwate. During the visit, we gained insight into the craftsmanship behind Nambu cast iron and personally selected the products we wanted to bring home.
This kettle is part of that selection – chosen for its simple design, quality, and the long craft tradition it represents.
