KŌHI - Signe Schmidt cortado cup in black and brown

Small ceramic cup without handle, handmade by Danish ceramist Signe Schmidt.

The cup is an ideal size for a cortado but is also suitable as a slightly larger espresso cup or for tea.

The cup is hand-thrown from stoneware clay and hand-glazed in black and brown shades.

Ceramist Signe Schmidt creates her designs based on the Japandi style, which draws on both Japanese and Scandinavian expressions and traditions. Signe hand-throws all her products in stoneware clay at her own workshop.

Particularly noteworthy in Signe Schmidt's collection of cups and bowls is her sense of color and her work with glazes.

NOTE: As the bowls are handmade and hand-glazed, there will be minor variations in color and glaze. This is completely normal and does not affect the quality, general appearance, or use of the product – this is the charm of handmade ceramics.
