Kōyō dish with green glaze
Kōyō means "autumn leaves" in Japanese and symbolizes the beauty of change – a thought beautifully expressed in this handmade, round dish with its vibrant green glaze and soft, organic shape.
The dish is created by the Japanese ceramicist Mr. Takashi. Each piece is shaped and glazed by hand with great care, and the characteristic glaze creates a play of nuances and depth on the surface. No two pieces are exactly alike – each dish has its own unique expression and bears the clear mark of the handmade process.
The round dish is both functional and decorative and can be used for everything from serving salads and fruit to standing alone as a still life on the table. The vibrant green glaze plays beautifully with wood, textiles and other natural materials, creating peace and warmth in the room.
The Kōyō series is specially made for Sakura Copenhagen, and we are proud to be the only dealer in Denmark of Mr. Takashi's unique ceramics. The series can be mixed and matched across glazes and structures for a vibrant, personal expression.
Please note: The ceramics are handmade and may therefore vary slightly in size.
