Kōyō dish with green glaze
Kōyō means autumn leaves in Japanese and symbolizes the beauty of change – a concept beautifully expressed in this handmade, round platter with its vibrant green glaze and soft, organic form.
The platter is created by the Japanese ceramist Mr. Takashi. Each piece is shaped and glazed by hand with great care, and the characteristic glaze creates a play of nuances and depth in the surface. No two pieces are exactly alike – each platter has its own unique expression and clearly bears the mark of the handmade process.
The round platter is both functional and decorative and can be used for everything from serving salads and fruit to standing alone as a still life on the table. The vibrant green glaze interacts beautifully with wood, textiles, and other natural materials, creating calm and warmth in the room.
The Kōyō series is custom-made for Sakura Copenhagen, and we are proud to be the only retailer in Denmark of Mr. Takashi's unique ceramics. The series can be mixed and matched across glazes and textures for a lively, personal expression.
Please note! The ceramics are handmade and may therefore vary slightly in size.
