Kōyō bowl with gray/brown metallic

Kōyō means autumn leaves in Japanese and symbolises the beauty of change – a concept beautifully expressed in this handmade bowl with its deep grey-brown, almost metallic glaze and harmonious, organic shape.

The pattern is created by hand with a seashell – a traditional technique that Mr. Takashi has further developed to give his ceramics a truly unique personal touch. The bowl is smooth on the inside and slightly rough on the outside, which creates a beautiful contrast and a tactile experience.

The Kōyō series is custom-made for Sakura Copenhagen, and we are proud to be the sole retailer in Denmark of Mr. Takashi's unique ceramics. The series can be mixed and matched across glazes and textures for a lively, personal expression.
