Kōyō bowl with gray/brown metallic
Kōyō means "autumn leaves" in Japanese and symbolizes the beauty of change – a thought that is beautifully expressed in this handmade bowl with its deep gray-brown, almost metallic glaze and harmonious, organic shape.
The pattern is created by hand with a seashell – a traditional technique that Mr. Takashi has further developed to give his ceramics a very special personal touch. The bowl is smooth on the inside and slightly rough on the outside, which provides a beautiful contrast and a tactile experience.
The Kōyō series is specially made for Sakura Copenhagen, and we are proud to be the only dealer in Denmark of Mr. Takashi's unique ceramics. The series can be mixed and matched across glazes and structures for a vibrant, personal expression.
Please note: The ceramics are handmade and may therefore vary slightly in size.
