Kōyō bowl with green glaze

Kōyō means autumn leaves in Japanese and symbolizes the beauty of change – a thought beautifully expressed in this handmade bowl with its vibrant green glaze and soft, organic shape.

The bowl is shaped by hand by the Japanese ceramicist Mr. Takashi, whose designs are inspired by nature’s materials and forms. The glaze varies in tone and texture, giving each bowl its own unique expression. Nothing is mass-produced – everything is created with calm, presence, and respect for the craft.

The green glaze adds warmth and depth and makes the bowl beautiful for both everyday use and special occasions – whether used for serving or simply as a decorative object.

The Kōyō series is custom-made for Sakura Copenhagen, and we are proud to be the only retailer in Denmark of Mr. Takashi's unique ceramics. The series can be mixed and matched across glazes and structures for a lively, personal look.
