Kōyō bowl with green glaze

Kōyō means "autumn leaves" in Japanese and symbolizes the beauty of change – a thought beautifully expressed in this handmade bowl with its vibrant green glaze and soft, organic shape.

The bowl is hand-shaped by Japanese ceramicist Mr. Takashi, whose designs are inspired by the materials and shapes of nature. The glaze varies in color tone and texture, giving each bowl its own unique expression. Nothing is mass-produced – everything is created with calm, presence and respect for the craft.

The green glaze adds warmth and depth and makes the bowl beautiful for both everyday use and special occasions - whether it is used for serving or simply as a decorative object.

The Kōyō series is specially made for Sakura Copenhagen, and we are proud to be the only dealer in Denmark of Mr. Takashi's unique ceramics. The series can be mixed and matched across glazes and structures for a vibrant, personal expression.
