Kōyō means "autumn leaves" in Japanese and symbolizes the beauty of change – a thought beautifully expressed in this handmade plate with its vibrant green glaze and simple, organic shape.

The plate is created by Japanese ceramicist Mr. Takashi, whose designs are inspired by the materials and shapes of nature. Each plate is shaped and glazed by hand, so no two are exactly alike – each piece has its own unique expression and clearly bears the mark of the handmade process.

The Kōyō series is specially made for Sakura Copenhagen, and we are proud to be the only dealer in Denmark of Mr. Takashi's unique ceramics. The series can be mixed and matched across glazes and structures for a vibrant, personal expression.
