Kōyō plate with green glaze

Kōyō means autumn leaves in Japanese and symbolizes the beauty of change – a thought beautifully expressed in this handmade plate with its vibrant green glaze and simple, organic form.

The plate is created by the Japanese ceramist Mr. Takashi, whose design is inspired by nature's materials and forms. Each plate is shaped and glazed by hand, and therefore no two are exactly alike – each piece has its own unique expression and clearly shows the mark of the handmade process.

The Kōyō series is custom-made for Sakura Copenhagen, and we are proud to be the sole retailer in Denmark of Mr. Takashi's unique ceramics. The series can be mixed and matched across glazes and textures for a lively, personal expression.
