KŌYŌ Vase
Kōyō means autumn leaves in Japanese and symbolizes the beauty of change – a thought beautifully reflected in this handmade vase with its soft, dusty green glaze and organic shape.
The vase is created by the Japanese ceramist Mr. Takashi, whom we met on our trip to Japan. In his small workshop on the outskirts of Kyoto, he shapes each vase by hand, and the glaze is applied with great care. No two are exactly alike – each vase has its own expression and bears the mark of the handmade process.
The Kōyō series is custom-made for Sakura Copenhagen, and we are proud to be the only retailer in Denmark of Mr. Takashi's unique ceramics.
Please note! The ceramics are handmade and may therefore vary slightly in size.
