The Cubico bed frame, created by Italian designer Martina Branchetti, is a contemporary interpretation of a low platform bed. Crafted from solid beech wood, the design consists of a horizontal form with chamfered edges, connected to four solid columns whose almost brutalist character creates a sense of grounding in the bedroom. As a final detail, the wood is stained in one of two different pigmentations, referencing the tradition of Mediterranean-inspired mid-century furniture design.
