A characteristic of pine is that it becomes more beautiful with age. The colours mature and gain a deeper glow. Heartwood and sapwood age at different rates, highlighting the wood's natural grain patterns. After a few years, the pine in each chair will develop a rich and complex honey-coloured tone.
Pine is a soft wood and will develop marks and indentations over time. But do not see them as flaws – embrace them. They are signs of life and of furniture that has been used and loved. Pine is not immune to life. It is evidence of life.
