016 Maasto Bar Stool by Ronan Bouroullec, provides a higher seating area and at the same time contains all the characteristics of the elegant and simple Maasto dining series.
Each piece of furniture in the Maasto family is both simple and strong, combining plywood for stability and reduced volume with solid pine for durability.

Maasto Bar Stool is deliberately understated in both form and idea: a simple homage to pine furniture, which is light, strong and designed for casual dining in any setting. The plywood has a reinforced grain pattern that creates a visually striking expression.

Maasto Bar Stool is available in two heights and is equipped with copper-plated footrests for maximum durability.

The chair is made in Finland from Finnish pine .

Characteristic of the wood - Pine becomes more beautiful with age. The colors mature and take on a deeper glow. Heartwood and sapwood age at different rates, highlighting the natural grain patterns of the wood. After a few years, the pine in each chair will develop a rich and complex honey-colored tone.

Pine is a soft wood and will eventually develop marks and impressions. But don't see them as flaws - embrace them. They are signs of life and of furniture that has been used and loved. Pine is not life-resistant. It is proof of life.
