Vaarnii - 018 Hoop large table lamp
Heavy, solid pine wood and fine pine veneer meet in a beautiful contrast in the Hoop table lamp. The solid wooden base acts as a natural and stable foundation, holding the entire lamp securely in place. A simple arch of pine veneer acts as a shade, filtering the light softly and atmospherically.
Each lamp base starts as a knot-free block of solid wood, precisely milled to accommodate and conceal the electrical components. The shade is made of high-quality pine veneer, carefully cut to highlight the wood's lively and characterful grain.
The Hoop lamp is available in two sizes:
Large Hoop stands stably on sideboards and desks
Small Hoop fits perfectly on shelves and small side tables
The lamp is delivered in two parts that are easily assembled without screws. Bulb included.
Characteristic of the lamp -
Hoop is made from solid Finnish Scots Pine and high-quality pine veneer. The combination of these two key materials is the very essence of this distinctive design from Vaarnii.
All solid pine wood used by Vaarnii comes from sustainably managed Finnish forests. The trees grow slowly, which gives the material extra strength. Each piece of wood is carefully hand-selected to ensure the highest quality, with unique variations in color and grain. Depending on the product, natural characteristics such as knots and lively grain patterns are deliberately preserved, as they add character and authenticity. For Hoop, however, we have carefully selected knot-free sections to create a cleaner expression.
Pine wood only gets more beautiful with time. The color gradually deepens over several years. As we use both heartwood and sapwood, which age at different rates, Vaarnii's products go through a decorative, striped phase before the wood eventually takes on a uniform and warm honey color.
It is quite natural for pine wood to acquire marks and traces of use over time. These signs of life should not be seen as flaws, but as part of the wood's history. We encourage our customers to embrace these traces and enjoy the vibrant colors and grain patterns that make pine one of the most exciting and expressive wood species.
