Origami workshop for children

Sakura Copenhagen invites you to a cozy and creative origami workshop where children and adults together learn traditional Japanese folding techniques and create a unique garland from beautiful Japanese washi paper.

Origami is the classic Japanese art of paper folding. In Japan, many origami figures are associated with small stories and wishes for luck, strength, and joy.

The workshop gives children and adults the opportunity to immerse themselves and create something beautiful together. An experience where you are together, and where there is room for shared play, creativity, and concentration.

During the workshop, you will work with various folding techniques and assemble your own origami figures into a beautiful, personalized garland, which you will naturally take home with you. Along the way, we will share small Japanese cultural stories about the figures you learn to fold.

The workshop is informal, engaging, and creative. Everyone can participate – both beginners and experienced folders. We guide you step by step and help along the way, so both children and adults feel comfortable with the process. The workshop is designed for children from about 7 years old, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. One adult may bring several children. The price is per person.

The workshop will be held in Sakura Social's inspiring premises at Gammel Kongevej 91C and will last approximately 2 hours. We will serve tea, water, and small snacks during the workshop.

There are a limited number of spaces, and registration is only final once payment has been completed and confirmation has been received by email.

Language: The workshop is conducted in Danish, but our instructor also understands and speaks English

Registrations are binding, and money will not be refunded if you are unable to attend after payment/registration.

If our instructor is ill on the day, or if Sakura Copenhagen has to cancel the event for another reason, the full amount will be refunded.
