Iwatemo - Kobukura cups
The most beautiful cups designed by Kazuyoshi Osawa from the Tourai workshop in Japan.
The shape is inspired by traditional Japanese sake vessels that farmers used to enjoy a break during the day.
The cup can be used for tea, sake, coffee, or even small desserts like ice cream.
The porcelain from Iwatemo is individually shaped on a potter's wheel, giving each piece its own character and a warm, handmade feel. The glaze contains natural wood ash, and the cup is fired at 1280°C for approximately 25 hours to achieve high strength and durability.
We found these products during our trip to the Tohoku region in Japan, where we visited the manufacturer and gained insight into the local craftsmanship. Here we personally selected the products we wanted to bring home - chosen for their simple design, quality, and the craft tradition they represent.
