Handmade babushka dolls shaped like the classic Japanese Inu Hariko. The figures are made of papier-mâché and carefully hand-painted, which gives each one a unique expression.

The set consists of five figures that can be placed inside each other in classic babushka style.

The name Inu Hariko literally means "paper dog" (inu = dog, hariko = papier-mâché figure). It originates especially from the Edo period and was often given as a gift to pregnant women and young children. Dogs in Japan were considered good mothers with easy births, so the figure became a symbol of safe pregnancy and healthy children.

The figure is also used as a good luck charm and is a decorative and quirky detail for the home or a special gift.
