MIDORI - Signe Schmidt matcha cup/bowl in green

Beautiful, hand-turned matcha bowl from Danish ceramicist Signe Schmidt. The bowl is created so that it is ideal for whisking your matcha tea in, but you can also use the bowl for other hot drinks - or just as a bowl.

The bowl stands on a small foot, which gives the bowl an elegant look.

Matcha bowl, which in Japanese is called a 'chawan', is used to whisk matcha tea and enjoy the tea directly from the bowl. The bowl is hand-turned and hand-glazed.

Ceramicist Signe Schmidt creates her designs based on the Japandi style, which draws on both Japanese and Scandinavian expressions and traditions. Signe hand-turns all of her products in stoneware clay in her own workshop.
