(price,quantity)Iwatemo - Temaru bowls
Bowls from the "Temaru" series, designed by Kazuyoshi Osawa from the Tourai workshop. The series was developed with a focus on universal design, where functionality and simple aesthetics go hand in hand.
The bowl has a slightly inwardly curved rim, which makes it easier to scoop up food with a spoon. The design also allows bowls of different sizes to be stacked harmoniously.
The porcelain from Iwatemo is individually shaped on a potter's wheel, giving each piece a unique and warm handmade character. The glaze contains natural wood ash, and the bowl is fired at 1280°C for approximately 25 hours to achieve high strength and durability.
We found these products during our trip to the Tohoku region in Japan, where we visited the manufacturer and gained insight into the local craftsmanship. Here we personally selected the products we wanted to bring home - chosen for their simple design, quality, and the craft tradition they represent.
